If you are looking for a room for a couple in Lahore, the real question is usually not the mattress or the view. It is whether reception will ask for a nikah nama, turn the booking into an interrogation, or treat your identity documents carelessly.

Here is the direct answer for a Yolu stay: each guest provides a CNIC or passport, either the original or a clear readable copy. Punjab Information Technology Board describes Hotel Eye as the Punjab Police web application used to log hotel check-ins and check-outs, including CNIC and guest details. PITB also states that the Punjab government made its use mandatory for hotels in October 2016.

A responsible operator should be able to explain this without making you feel suspected. Your ID is being checked because the stay is registered. A request for identity is normal; a request for proof of marriage is not part of our policy.

What does check-in feel like in practice?

Check-in is one short verification at reception. You show the two identity documents, the booking is matched to your names, and the unit is handed over. After that, the apartment is your private space for the stay.

This is not an unattended flat where a stranger sends a lockbox code and disappears. It is also not a hotel corridor where you must explain yourself every time you pass a desk. Building security remains at the building entrance and in shared areas, while your normal movement in and out of the apartment does not require another relationship check.

How is privacy protected inside the apartment?

There are no cameras inside any Yolu unit. This is a standing policy, not an exception made for a particular booking. Security equipment belongs at controlled entrances and shared building areas, not in bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, or bathrooms.

Staff or contractors should not enter an occupied unit without a practical reason and your knowledge, except in a genuine emergency. If maintenance or housekeeping is needed, agree on a time rather than leaving access vague.

Why does the building matter?

A managed tower leaves a clearer accountability trail than a private flat quietly sublet by someone you have never met. Yolu units are in named residential developments and mixed-use complexes, including Zameen Opal in Johar Town, Zameen Aurum in Gulberg, and Gold Crest in DHA Phase 4. These are buildings with management, reception or controlled access, covered parking, and staffed security.

Every building in which we operate uses professional building-security staff. That means there is a controlled entrance and a team responsible for the shared premises. It is a meaningful safeguard for couples and solo guests, but no honest accommodation provider can promise that risk is literally zero. What we can promise is the part within our control: registered check-in, accountable management, staffed building access, and privacy inside the unit.

You can compare the buildings where our apartments are located before choosing. A developer's name alone is not enough, so also look at the actual arrival process, floor, parking, access control, and who answers if there is a problem after midnight.

What should you ask before paying?

• Which documents are required? Get the answer in writing for both guests.
• Who completes check-in? Ask for the name or number of the person meeting you, especially after normal hours.
• Is the stay registered? The operator should be able to explain the process plainly.
