About this apartment
Dim the lights and the wall behind the bed glows: a backlit panel of rough, rock-textured plaster above a cream padded headboard, with black bedding below. The rest of the flat stays dark on purpose. The walls are charcoal, the sitting room has a charcoal velvet sofa and armchair with brass candlesticks on the coffee table, a carved leaf panel hangs on the wall, and the TV sits inside a black stepped frame with shelving, where a fireplace video looks the part. The kitchen is a black counter with a two-ring induction hob, a microwave and a sink, and the bathroom has grey stone-look tiles and a floating marble basin.
It is the darkest of our Park House one-bedrooms, made for late nights and slow mornings rather than bright days. Park House is in Gulberg, minutes from Main Boulevard and Liberty Market, and was built as studios and one-bedrooms, so the flats are compact by design. As a short-stay apartment in Gulberg it suits a couple or a solo traveller for a night or a week. Housekeeping comes daily, and the generator keeps the AC on through load-shedding.
